Here is a documentary recommendation! Wasteland (www.wastelandmovie.com) was shot over 3 years by Vik Muniz and friends, following the lives of very special souls working at the largest landfill site in the world, just outside Rio De Janeiro. Muniz
was born into a working-class family in Sao Paolo and has gone onto be one of the world’s most treasured artists.

His solo show at MAM in Rio de Janeiro was second only to Picasso in attendance records; it was here that Vik first exhibited his “Pictures of Garbage Series” that he made together with the friends he made at the landfill site during the filming of ‘Wasteland’. It’s a beautiful film!
